Window & Door Installer

Benefits through Green Shield Canada are offered after 6 months of full-time employment, conditional on a performance review.

Job type:

·       Part-time/Full-time/Casual

·       Permanent

Primary duties include:

·       Remove and install residential windows and doors,

·       determine layout and installation procedures,

·       measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations,

·       prepare and maintain work materials and supplies,

·       load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment,

·       erect and install scaffolding,

·       read and interpret drawings and specifications,

·       clean job site to completion every day, as well as

·       install, repair and service interior and exterior prefabricated products.

·       Above all else, the installer must follow all safe work procedures at all times, and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

Qualifications & Requirements:

·       Minimum 2 years experience in the trades/construction, experience with windows and doors is an asset

·       Basic skills using hand and power tools

·       Able to lift and/or carry 75lbs +

·       Fluent in English (required)

·       Must be legal to work in Canada (required)

·       Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract (required), and must have reliable transportation to all work sites

Working conditions:

·       Work in all weather conditions

·       Comfortable working at heights

·       Day shift, Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday

·       Hours per day can vary based on project

·       Various work locations around Calgary, and on occasion throughout Alberta and southern British Columbia
